Art Mecca of Charleston's 3rd Friday Artist Party this month features acrylic painter Daniella Willet-Rabin.
Daniella returned to college after many years in the music world and received her BFA in illustration in 2013 from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Previously she had attended a visual arts high school in Salamanca, Spain for about four and a half years. An influencing factor that has broadened her vision of art includes many years dedicates to the study of percussion. She uses this to her advantage by correlating rhythmic elements found in music with visual patterning which is incorporated in her artwork. Her art is often fanciful, colorful, and joyful, striving to convey creativity, positive energy, and the vibrancy found in life.
