2nd Sunday on King Street Expands Two Additional Sundays in December

 2nd Sunday on King Street will expand to include two additional Sunday events this December. The event dates are Sunday, December 15 and Sunday, December 22.

"The additional Sundays are part of a downtown shopping, dining and holiday campaign to support businesses on the Peninsula," said Susan Lucas, Operating Partner of KSMG and promoter of 2nd Sunday. "Now in its fourth year, 2nd Sunday has become the most attended regularly scheduled event in Charleston and the best sales day of the month for many downtown retailers, restaurants and attractions."

The format for the additional events will be the same as 2nd Sunday, with a focus on holiday shopping, dining, and special events that encompasses the entire downtown area.

The Village Rep has teamed up with the wonderful folks at  HōM to create a unique Thanksgiving Dinner served by Village Rep Company performers! They will serenade the guests with favorite numbers from past shows and musical previews of the coming year between courses. La Fourchette & Perig Goulet Saying Au Revoir to King Street

Perig Goulet, Chef and owner of La Fourchette at 432 King Street, announced today that he has sold his iconic French Bistro to Hall Hospitality Group LLC. "I always welcome change and after eight years it's time for me to relax a bit and take a vacation," said Goulet, who plans to close this week. In 2011 La Fourchette was named one of the "Three Best French Bistros in North America" by The Cooking Channel's Unique Eats.

Goulet is best known for his warm welcome, charming accent and traditional bistro recipes, many of them from his mother's table in Brittany. "This is a nice opportunity for me to explore my ideas about Charleston dining, especially for the locals who have been so kind to me. I will be back. Bonsoir y'all."

Hall Hospitality Group LLC, owners of Halls Chophouse and Rita's Seaside Grille on Folly Beach, has not formalized plans for the neighboring space.

Pink Your Drink Happy Hour at Fish Restaurant, Oct. 23rd

 Fish will be hosting its “Pink Your Drink” Happy Hour event on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 4:30 – 8pm. This dedicated Happy Hour supports the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.

Guests in the dining room and Fish bar will enjoy live music, alongside a pink-ribbon inspired cocktail and fun giveaways.
