Indaco, Italian for "Indigo", is the newest restaurant to join the Indigo Road family (think O-Ku, The Macintosh, The Cocktail Club, and Oak Steakhouse).
Indaco, located at 526 King Street in the Upper King Design District will serve rustic Italian fare keeping the region's tradition of sharing at the restaurant's core. What's more Italian than sitting around a table, enjoying a meal with friends and family? In addition to a menu of antipasti, entrees, pizzas, pastas and sides, Indaco will offer a $40 "for the table" family-style dinner option.
Executive chef Robert Berry will be at the helm of the restaurant's kitchen. Formerly of Cookshop in New York, N.Y., chef Berry got his culinary start at Slightly North of Broad. Andrew Fallis, formerly general manager of The Macintosh and an Indigo Road veteran, will round out the Indaco team.
In the words of chef Berry, "Indaco will offer Italian-style dining, heavily focused on domestic sources and the menu will highlight the use of whole animals and an abundance of fresh vegetables."
Indaco is open Sunday-Thursday from 5pm-10pm, Friday & Saturday 5pm-close with the bar open late & pizza served until midnight. For reservations, call 843.727.1228.
