Kakalak 2009 at Blue Bicycle Books

Blue Bicycle Books hosts Kakalak, the 4th annual Charleston release party for Kakalak 2009: Anthology of Carolina Poets. The reading, one of the Blue Bike’s most popular annual events, will take place Friday October 16 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in our adjacent courtyard. I have to say that last year’s is one of the best poetry readings I’ve ever seen, poignant and funny and most of all very particular to Charleston. 

 The Kakalak anthology features writers from North and South Carolina. Local poets reading and signing books will include Susan Meyers, Dennis Ward Stiles, Lynn Stanton, Kit Loney, Jim Lundy, Ellyn Hyatt and more. Reception to follow.

Shop local, drink local, knock out some Christmas shopping early at Blue Bicycle Books, 420 King Street near the corner of King and John, in the Upper King Design District in historic downtown Charleston.
