How Would You Use This Cool Table By Van Dalen Design?

This is an amazing piece of design by Van Dalen. The contrast of the dark top with the leg pieces is exquisitely unique. The open areas, then the coolest drawer handle ever, then the clean lines ....I could just go on and on.  As for using this within the home, it might just the crafstmanship of the piece justice to let it be free standing. Southern Kitchens Hosting Golden Retriever Rescue Resource for SEWE

Meet and Greet the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue Resource (LCGRR) at Southern Kitchens of Charleston 493 King Street Saturday, Feb. 13, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Join them as part of the Southastern Wildlife Exhibition (SEWE). They will have volunteers and goldens at the store and strolling in Marion Square.

LCGRR rescues Golden Retrievers who have been abandoned, abused or given up by their owners. LCGRR is operated solely by volunteers who devote time and energy to rescuing as many Golden Retrievers as possible.

King Street Kitchen Company European Vacation

Soounds like a movie title but it really wasn't. The powers that be at the King Street Kitchen Company spent several days of fun and a lot of education at the Allmilmo factory and European Corporate showroom. Pictured to the left are principles Steve, Dylan and William in the Gaggenau corporate showroom after the factory tour.

Dylan Gilliam said it was a "A GREAT experience! Although photos during our factory tour were not allowed, I did get a few in the corporate showroom (which is a fabulous space I might add). Click here to have a peek....

Beautiful Console Cabinet at LESESNE

This beautiful console cabinet by Van Dalen Design is made from "Ipe" wood. You might not have heard of this before - I know I hadn't. It comes from sustainable forests and better yet, it's harder than teak! Lately ipe has been used for high end decking.

What Neal Van Dalen has done for LESESNE is amazing. He has acquired surplus pieces of this great wood that were headed to the dumpster, replaned it and designed it into incredible pieces of furniture. From cool benches to pieces such as this one, you know you'll receive quality work.

An interesting piece of trivia ... Did you know the boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ is made of ipe? And it has been there for over 100 years. Wow!

German Engineering Featured at SieMatic for Design Walk... Even in the Street

Stop at SieMatic, 444 King Street, during Design Walk see the new class of handleless kitchens a genre with the newly created SieMatic S2. “As the original inventors of the handleless kitchen SieMatic is now setting a new standard with the SieMatic S2” said Ulrich W. Patrick Properties Events assisted the planning of the SieMatic Design Walk event with BMW to have several newly released models as well as a few classics parked out side the store on King Street.

Also on display will be the new BMW Motorcycle lineup HP2 Sport and K1300S. German inspired food and beverage will complement the latest S2 Kitchens designed and offered by SieMatic.

King Street Kitchen Company Inviting Architects and Designers to New Showroom for Design Walk

The King Street Kitchen Company will host an industry-only event for architects and home designers during Design Walk at their newly redesigned showroom with a special guest who has been an international design community legend for over 40 years. 

 KSKC will open at 4:00 PM, one hour prior to the official start of the Upper KIng Design District Fall Design Walk, affording  the opportunity to meet this design legend in a more intimate environment.
