In February 2012, Revolutionary Eating Ventures (REV) the restaurant group known for such concepts as Poe's Tavern, Closed for Business, Taco Boy, and Monza will launch the Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) Campaign. This initiative was born out of an effort to partner with local non-profits who are positively influencing the health and well-being of children in the Charleston community. The resources provided to these children will not only allow them to live healthier lives, but also enable them to pursue their goals and create lasting changes within their own lives as well as within their community.
REV has selected five local non-profits as beneficiaries of their N2N Campaign. Louie's Kids, The Green Heart Project, Wings for Kids, Darkness to Light, and Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center have been chosen for their committment and effort to improving the lives and health of children throughout Charleston. Each organization will be designated with a respective week and during that week, REV will donate 5% of the proceeds from their restaurants to each organization.
REV will kick-off the N2N Campaign with Louie's Kids from February 22nd to February 29th. As stated by Louie's Kids CEO and Founder, Louis Yuhasz, 'these funds will help us create attainable goals for these children as well as outfit them in proper footwear, an essential to a good running form and program.' REV is excited to contribute running shoes and apparel to Louie's Kids just in time for the Bridge Run!
Join REV in its effort to raise money for these organizations and improve the lives of children throughout the Charleston community. For more information on N2N and upcoming dates contact Heather Pruitt at hp@revfood.com.
